EcoSync secures angel investment

EcoSync is a multi-award-winning start-up company of Oxford University, developing a smart temperature control system combining artificial intelligence with MIT technologies – applied to real buildings. They work with businesses to synchronize heating with occupancy levels. With the added control over the temperature settings, they can provide more comfort, improve energy efficiency, and raise their sustainability profiles.

EcoSync were awarded an innovation grant after applying to OxFutures for funding and were successful in being awarded a £13,000 initial grant and £7,850 extension grant to develop the next phase of the technology.

Things have since progressed for EcoSync, especially since their Silicon Valley demo day in January.

They then managed to secure angel investment and since then the team has been going from strength to strength.

Gabor Mayer joined them in a CTO role in March. Gabor has 15+ years in full stack development mainly in web-based applications. He has been leading and/or managing software development projects with multiple development teams from intern groups of junior developers to cutting edge development w/ internationally recruited senior developers.

Gabor is not new to the team; he has been a key advisor from day one and we are delighted to have him on board.

Dr Zsuzsa Mayer, EcoSync

EcoSync have been busy with 5 new installations in March 2021 – 1 new client and 4 smaller buildings for a previous client, Exeter College, UK. All installations were completed in under 2 hours.

If you are part of an organisation that would be interested in working with EcoSync to improve the energy efficiency of your building/s please contact them via their website.

It is extremely exciting to hear of such great progress and we look forward to hearing more great things in 2021!
